Zar Funding is operated by Claystan LLC, a Wyoming company. When we say "we" or "us" we mean Claystan LLC, doing business as Zar Funding. When we say "you" we mean anyone who uses our website or signs up with us.

What we collect
We try to collect as little as we can. That is usually:
- Your first and last name.
- Your company or firm name and your role.
- Your email address.
- For founders: your raise size and a short note on what you do.
- For investors: your cheque size and what you like to back.
- Basic website usage data through cookies, like which pages you view.
Why we use it
We use your data to run our service. Under data law this rests on a few simple reasons: to do what we agreed to do for you, for our fair business interests, and with your consent where needed. In plain words we use it to:
- Match founders with the right investors.
- Make warm intros by hand.
- Reply to you and set up calls.
- Run and improve our website.
How we share it
We only share your details to do the job you asked for. For example, if you are a founder, we share your pitch with an investor we think is a good fit. We may pass some data to trusted tools that help us work, such as Cal.com and Tally for scheduling and forms, and analytics tools for the website. We may also use your data to optimize our advertising. We never sell your personal data to any vendor or any other third party, ever.
Where we get data
Some data you give us directly. We may also add to it using trusted third party data providers. We only source data from providers who are GDPR compliant and HIPAA compliant, so anything we bring in is collected lawfully.
How we contact you and our newsletter
When you sign up or accept our Terms, you agree that we may reach out to you by phone call, email, and message. Your email is also added to our business newsletter, so you get regular updates about Zar Funding, our deal flow, introductions, and other news. You can leave the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
Where your data goes
We are based in the United States, so your data may be handled there. If data moves across borders, we use standard safeguards to keep it protected.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as we need it to work with you and to meet legal duties. Plain usage data is usually kept for a shorter time. You can ask us to delete your data at any point.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your data.
- EU and UK residents: you can ask to see, fix, delete, or limit how we use your data.
- California residents: you can ask us to delete your data and to opt out, as set by CCPA and CPRA.
- Everyone can ask us to stop emailing them.

Our service is for business use. It is not meant for anyone under 18.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Big changes will be made clear.
